The simplest way to get involved is to show up. Members who come to RDV events consistently tell us they're glad they did, and that the connections they make with other rainbow dads are what keep them coming back.
We run weekly playgroups, family events, dads-only catch-ups, workshops, major celebrations, and Pride season events throughout the year. All welcoming, and all designed to bring rainbow families together.
Whether you're a long-time member or you've never been to an RDV event before, there's always something coming up worth coming along to.

RDV runs entirely on the time and energy of volunteers. The people who coordinate our playgroups, organise our events, manage our communications, and keep the community connected are all dads and supporters who give their time because they believe in what we're building.
Volunteering with RDV is genuinely rewarding. You'll meet remarkable people, make a real difference to families across Victoria, and be part of something that matters. Whether you have a few hours a month or you want to take on a more substantial role, we'd love to have you.

Every dollar goes back into the community
RDV playgroups are free to attend and we work hard to keep costs as low as possible across the board. But running a community takes resources: venue costs, event supplies, website hosting, insurance, and everything else that keeps things ticking along behind the scenes.
